This shade would probably look good on just about any lamp you chose to put it on! It's the No. 365-variegated shade from 1947. Again it was designed for the Aladdin table, hanging, and bracket lamps. Most of the 14 inch Whip-o-Lite shades like this one were, but there are exceptions.

Certain models could be used on table and bracket lamps, but would not fit some of the hanging lamps. Some of the hanging lamps required a shade no taller than 9 inches and with a top ring of that same diameter.

In other words, the dimensions for 14 inch Whip-o-Lite shades are not all identical. The bottom ring had a 14 inch diameter on all of them, but the top ring could differ between 9 and 10 inches. The smaller ring causes the sides of the shade to slant inward at a sharper angle. This feature, along with the shade being shorter in height, allowed it to be used on hanging lamps and table lamps where it was of advantage in reflecting the light downward. The light was more concentrated in a specific area from these type shades. They worked very well when used for reading or dining.
